About Victoria Rivas

I am a Public Administration major at Miami University with a strong interest in Human Resources, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. I am passionate about helping organizations build strong teams, develop talent, and create environments where people can succeed.Currently, I serve as a Tour Guide Manager at Miami University, where I lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for a team of more than 120 student tour guides. In this role, I design and facilitate training programs, conduct performance evaluations, and help develop communication and leadership skills within the team. This experience has strengthened my interest in HR functions such as recruiting, training and development, and employee relations.I have also gained public service experience through my internship with the U.S. House of Representatives, where I supported constituents and worked closely with diverse stakeholders to address concerns. Through this role, I developed strong communication, problem-solving, and client service skills while assisting Spanish-speaking constituents and navigating complex issues with professionalism.Beyond my professional experience, I am actively involved in campus leadership. As Director of Ceremonies and Rituals for Delta Delta Delta, I coordinate formal events and ensure compliance with national organizational standards for a chapter of more than 250 members. These leadership experiences have helped me develop strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.I am fluent in English and Spanish and passionate about using my bilingual abilities to connect with diverse communities.
