Job Duties include but not be limited to:Administration• Review and assess the contents of all employee files, verifying all required and legal documentation is current. Maintain confidential records according to established best practices• Implement new hire, orientation, training processes to be followed by each Department Manager. • Ensure proper workers’ compensation coverage is in place and report claims in a timely manner.• Assist General Manager with special events and projects as needed throughout the year.• Responsible for payroll submission, recordkeeping and employment practices.Recruitment and Selection• Support Department Managers in the recruitment and selection of new hires by screening, interviewing and selecting candidates. • Prepare and post job openings on various employment sites.• Prepare employment offer letters. Benefits• Provide overview of, and documentation for, medical, dental and 401(k) plans, and ensure proper and timely enrollment of all new employees. • Coordinate 401(k) seminars for staff and annual benefits open enrollment process.• Maintain 401(k) payroll submission files and documentation in a timely fashion and in accordance with provider guidelines.Employee Relations• Communicate with upper management regarding the development of new hires, employee performance issues, and terminations.Performance Management• Coordinate and assist each Department Manager with annual performance appraisals.• Recommend employee relation practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.Legal/Regulatory Compliance• Stay current with all State & Federal employment regulations. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing publications and establishing professional networks. • Counsel managers on employee performance issues. Assist in preparation of performance documentation.
