ABOUT VICTORIA OVERBECK

Passionate about public health and dedicated to making a difference in the field of infectious diseases, I am a Research Study Coordinator at the Jacobson Research Group within the Boston Medical Center Section of Infectious Diseases. With a strong background in epidemiology and biostatistics, I specialize in studying the epidemiology of infectious diseases, with a primary focus on tuberculosis.Throughout my academic journey, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree (Biology Major, History & Psychology Minors) from Swarthmore College in 2021. This multidisciplinary foundation provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection of various disciplines and their applications in the field of public health. Building upon my undergraduate education, I pursued a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology & Biostatistics with a specialization in Infectious Diseases from Boston University School of Public Health. My time at BUSPH provided me with a solid foundation in research methodologies, data analysis, and epidemiological approaches.I am fueled by a genuine passion for public health and a commitment to making a positive impact on global health outcomes. By staying at the forefront of infectious disease research, I aim to contribute to the development of effective interventions and policies that address the complex challenges associated with tuberculosis. With a solid academic background, hands-on experience in research coordination, and a collaborative mindset, I am dedicated to advancing the field of infectious diseases and improving health outcomes for affected individuals and communities.
