About Victoria MacAli
As a First-Generation Graduate of Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. I am committed to breaking barriers, inspiring the next generation, and contributing to the advancement of technology with my unique perspective. The first time I wrote a line of code was the first day of my undergraduate studies and from there, I knew I had found my calling. I thrive on challenges and continuously seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in this rapidly evolving field.During my academic journey, I had the privilege of serving as a peer mentor and tutor in the College of Engineering at CSULB. Guiding and assisting fellow first generation engineering students allowed me to develop strong communication and problem-solving skills while deepening my understanding of complex technical concepts. Seeing my mentees succeed and grow has been incredibly fulfilling!Furthermore, I have the honor to intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where I contributed to the development of a web-based application to support the SEC’s regulatory cybersecurity initiatives. This experience exposed me to the intricate world of cybersecurity in a real-world setting, sharpening my ability to analyze and mitigate risks. As I transition into the next phase of my career, I am seeking full-time positions that allow me to make a meaningful impact in the field of Computer Science and Cybersecurity. I am particularly interested in roles that involve developing software a business level and safeguard organizations from cyber threats. I am eager to contribute my skills, passion, and fresh perspective to a dynamic and collaborative team.I am always open to connecting with like-minded professionals, discussing industry trends, and exploring potential collaborations.
