In 1998, I was primed to take on an executive leadership position. It was only a matter of two years when I successfully progressed to Vice President, National Manager and strategist for what is currenlty the sixth largest bank in the U.S. It took a big leap of faith to follow my dream of becoming a nurse, but looking at how far I have come, I grow even more invested in my role as an agent of transformation in health care.My past and present professional groundwork give me a double-edged sword; and with my MBA underway, my prpose, passion, and persistence to bring exceptional clinical leadership become even clearer. It is my long-standing vision to place high-quality care and pateint safety as the very heart of strategic decision-making across the healthcare continuum.In creating and bringing to life this vision, improving and developing clinical staffing becomes a top priority. I am no stranger to leading and motivating a high-performing nursing unit that embodies not only compassion and competence; but also demonstrating added value, return on investment, and accountability for safe, effective, and efficient care.
