Alongside my studies, I held a full-time position at Peri Ltd as a Trainee Framework Designer, gaining valuable industry experience.Currently, I serve as the Property Safety & Standards Manager at United Welsh Housing Association, where I lead on building safety compliance across key areas including gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, lifts, asbestos, and habitation standards. I manage contractor performance, oversee housing disrepair claims, and ensure resident property alterations meet regulatory and safety requirements. My role involves producing performance reports, maintaining compliance systems, and developing policies to support cost-effective service delivery and risk mitigation.Prior to this, I worked at Sero, contributing to the delivery of retrofit coordination for over homes and project managing the Welsh Government’s Optimised Retrofit Programme. This initiative, aimed at decarbonising social housing in Wales by 2030, involved collaboration with 32 social landlords across three schemes totalling approximately £60 million. My career reflects a strong commitment to compliance, sustainability, and stakeholder collaboration within the built environment.
