About Victoria Dominguez
Victoria “Nikki” Dominguez is the Policy Director for AJSOCAL. Victoria oversees policy and budgetary initiatives, advocacy, and strategic collaboratives on the areas of education, immigration, criminal justice reform, workers\' rights, health access, language access, data equity and others. She has worked with parents, youth, community leaders and legislators for over 10 years to change policies that impact access, equity, and representation - with a special focus on low-income, Limited English Proficiency (LEP), Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. In addition, she is the coordinator of the College for All Coalition, a multi-racial and multi-sector statewide coalition working to support all Californian students in achieving their highest potential. Victoria developed her passion for policy at the University of California, Santa Cruz where she received her bachelors of arts in Politics, and Legal Studies. During her time there she was the lead intern in charge of developing and designing the University’s Undocumented Student Services unit - a project that still continues to this day. After college Victoria served for 3 years as the Education and Policy Coordinator at the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN). Leading on areas of education policy, program development, strategic planning, implementation advocacy, and fundraising. Experienced director and leader with a demonstrated history of working in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Policy Analysis, Program Evaluation, Public Speaking, and Research. Strong professional with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Legal Studies, Politics from University of California, Santa Cruz.
