The Senior Human Resources Consultant implements the organization\'s human resources strategy so that the organization attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objectives.Key Accountabilities are:* Work closely with the Divisional HR Manager and local management to champion employee loyalty and to support Purolator\'s values* Promote positive employee involvement, development and relationship building* Provide support and direction to local management teams (Operations, Retail, Fleet, Loss Prevention) on all areas of human resources* Coach and develop a team of HR Professionals to ensure the implementation and consistent practice of HR policies and initiatives* Assist in the creation and maintenance of administrative systems to support HR functions* Responsible for providing proactive employee/labour relations, contract interpretation and administration, grievance handling and arbitration preparation.* Assist in areas such as workforce planning, talent management, performance management, attendance management, claims management and accommodation* Ensure adherence to collective agreements and employment legislation* Partner with internal customers to ensure exceptional service and results* Provide status updates to Divisional HR Manager and Departmental Managers on regional issues and initiatives* Assist in developing and facilitating training and recruitment and selection initiatives* Promote employee equity and diversity* Actively support health and safety initiatives and awareness
