ABOUT VICTOR CHAIREZ
Hello! I’m Victor Chairez, a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), pursuing minors in Information Systems and Cybersecurity. I’m passionate about software and embedded systems, and I enjoy building projects that explore the connection between people and technology — from front-end interfaces to microcontroller-based tools.Outside of academics, I serve as the Vice President of External Affairs for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at UTRGV. I also contribute to the Society of Aerospace and Robotic Engineers (SARE), where I’ve worked on NASA MINDS projects — including one that earned 1st Place nationally for its innovation in embedded system control.I’m currently working on a personal iOS app, MyDigitalRoom, which explores virtual customization and user expression through SwiftUI. I’ve also developed projects using Haskell, Raspberry Pi, and web technologies. Looking to grow through internships focused on software, systems integration, and cybersecurity, with a strong interest in contributing to projects involving embedded technology, hardware-software interfacing, and real-world systems.
