About Victor Perez

I am a driven 4th year student pursuing a degree in finance & commercial law with a minor in accountancy. During my time at Western Michigan University, I have made the Dean\'s List for six semesters, have been accepted into the Lee Honors College, and I have also studied abroad in Mexico and India. These past experiences and studies have allowed me to become more knowledgeable in not only in my field of study, but culturally as well by being exposed to all different types of environments. The skills I have developed will allow me to make a difference in the workplace.Experience: Interaction among others is how I work best. Currently, I hold a position with ChoiceOne Bank as a seasonal bank teller. Through this position, I handle cash amounts at approximately on a daily basis. I also have the ability to consult with customers that may prefer a Spanish speaking teller. Building customer relations is key, and I make it a goal of mine to suit customer needs.Leadership: I am currently a First Year Seminar Co-Facilitator, and my role is to assist first year students through the transition from high school to college. I serve as a mentor and role model for them by having various meetings with the students and instructing a number of classes. Interpersonal: I donate time and service to several volunteer organizations such as Relay for Life and other on campus events. Through my work with Relay for Life, I personally fundraise a page to raise funds for those affected by cancer, and I also walk to raise awareness of the disease. For the past two years, I have also donated my time to welcome first year students in Fall Welcome. During Fall Welcome, I Initiate friendly relationships among students by organizing and leading activitiesThese skills have made me into a more well rounded individual ready to make a difference.
