ABOUT VICTOR LIANG
I\'m currently an Android Engineer at Google, building AI features in Pixel and Android. I previously worked at Maven Clinic, a late stage (1.3B valuation) virtual health clinic startup as an Android Engineer, building features around the mobile app to help support the users on the platform looking for Family Building, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Parenting, and Menopause assistance.I also worked at Snap as an Android developer, empowering brands by building SDKs for them to add augmented reality capabilities. Prior to Snap, I worked on the Visual Search and Augmented Reality team at Amazon, building the next generation virtual shopping experience for customers. Some features developed includes a multi-product Augmented Reality furniture experience, virtual try-on for glasses, lipstick, and more. I have 8+ years of experience working with Clean Architecture with MVI/MVVM/MVP/Viper, in addition to various android libraries/frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, ARCore, TensorFlow Lite, Filament, Okhttp, Retrofit, RxJava, Room, and other Android Jetpack libraries in both Java and Kotlin. The work I\'ve done has been featured on multiple TechCrunch articles and media outlets attached below: Snap Augmented Reality: https://techcrunch.com/2022/04/28/snap-further-invests-in-ar-shopping-with-dedicated-in-app-feature-new-tools-for-retailers/Amazon Augmented Reality: https://techcrunch.com/2020/08/25/amazon-rolls-out-a-new-ar-shopping-feature-for-viewing-multiple-items-at-once/https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/01/amazon-adds-an-ar-shopping-feature-to-its-ios-app/Google Magic Cue Live Demo: https://youtu.be/v0nxfQ2_n0c?si=eMs_wYHjEaHy-zmjBesides Mobile and Augmented Reality Development, I also enjoy writing features and apps that use Computer Vision, Machine Learning, GenAI/LLM, Blockchain and more.
