ABOUT VICTOR LI

I am an experienced music industry professional with over 25 years of artist management expertise in the Peruvian and international markets. I have recently expanded my knowledge by completing the 2-Year Music Business Administration diploma with Distinction at Durham College (4.0 GPA), just north of Toronto. Returning to school later in life has been both challenging and deeply rewarding, reigniting my passion for learning and connecting with Canada’s dynamic music industry. Throughout my career, I’ve specialized in talent development, project management, and career strategy. I’ve had the privilege of working with artists who have performed at major festivals such as Rock al Parque, Vive Latino, and SXSW; toured Europe; and opened for global acts like Paramore and Justin Bieber. A career highlight includes managing a client who performed for The Rolling Stones at a private event in Lima. I am also increasingly focused on the opportunities within music publishing, an area with untapped potential in Peru. In addition to my music industry experience, I hold a Business degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and spent 18 years as a Mathematics educator at Markham College, teaching at all levels up to the IB program. Since 2012, I have continued mentoring students through private tutoring, which has further honed my communication and leadership skills. I am now focused on contributing my knowledge and experience to Canada’s music landscape, eager to collaborate, innovate, and support the next generation of artists with the same passion and dedication that have defined my career.
