About Vicky Knerly

Dr. Vicky Knerly is a native of Syracuse, New York, and currently resides in Brunswick, GA. She has two grown sons. Vicky earned a bachelor’s degree in English, two masters’ degrees (one in business and one in contracting), and a doctorate in business. She has won awards for her research-based writing. She worked at Florida Institute of Technology for over 25 years, and continues to teach as an online adjunct professor after her last full-time position as assistant professor and center director was eliminated. She is currently a full-time instructor for Athens (AL) State University where she teaches undergraduate and graduate students in acquisition and contract management. Over the years, she has assisted and/or taught thousands of students as they pursued higher education goals, both undergraduate and graduate.Dr. Vicky, as her students know her, has also taught online as a contributing faculty member for Kettering University Online in Flint, Michigan, and as an adjunct faculty member for Athens State University in Athens, Alabama, before becoming a full-time faculty member at the latter institution. She has also done contract work, writing graduate-level assessment questions for a total rewards course in a newly developed MS in Human Resources Management degree.Dr. Vicky also earned her certification as a Certified Professional Contact Management (CPCM) through the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). She has been a member of NCMA for a number of years, beginning with the Huntsville (Alabama) Chapter and, most recently, with the North Florida Chapter, where she has served as the Vice President of Education/Certification.In 2009, Vicky formally partnered with Florida author, Gary Williams, as co-writers. Their debut novel, Death in the Beginning, was published electronically in November 2011.
