About Vicky Chen

Learning something new has always been a passion of mine, and being able to design and develop content to help others achieve their goals is fulfilling for me. Learning does not stop when we become adults. Instead, learning as an adult helps us achieve greater outcomes and have a bigger impact. I enjoy turning big concepts into bite-sized pieces that, in turn, enable learners to retain the information. Whether that learning happens through instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), or e-learning, I have found that I really enjoy meeting learners’ needs and helping them thrive. Being an instructional designer and developer, I analyze the needs of the learners through the use of surveys, interviews and/or data collection; come up with learning objectives with the end results in mind; design the course while in collaboration with various stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs); develop meaningful interactions; implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the course in order to make changes as needed. I am skilled in Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Microsoft Suite. As a former educator who has taught during the pandemic through vILT, I have learned the values of accessibilities for all learners.
