When given the opportunity to write or tell a story, I tend to channel the most engaging and humorous storyteller I know, my dad. Understanding at a young age that I had a knack for writing and an appreciation of the arts, I decided to give writing the old college try and have been creating online copy from product descriptions to industry specific editorial pieces for trade publications for 15 years. Professionally, I desire leadership and guidance to move forward in my career, with the endgame to work in the world of non-profit. Content creation, copywriting and blogging are the tools I use to communicate the story that every brand, company, non-profit or for-profit organization has to tell, because everyone has a unique and vital mission that should be conveyed to the world. Writing has been the core element that has made me a much more effective communicator. I do not believe in using heavy words and phrases as artillery that may alienate or come off as belittling my readers, but I believe in actively listening and getting to know my audience so that I can craft a story that will hold some meaning to them.
