Ascend Books released my first book, an autobiography of trailblazer Marian E. Washington, in August 2024. Nearest to my heart are my adult sons, Harry and Ben, along with my Japanese chin, Romeo, the No. 1 dog for his breed in AKC agility.

   Recruited to collaborate with sports pioneer Marian E. Washington on her autobiography. FIERCE: My Fight for Nothing Less by Marian E. Washington and Vicki L. Friedman will be released in August 2024.• Crafting a memoir of a woman known as “the Jackie Robinson of her sport” involved hundreds of hours of interviews, research, writing and editing along with the vision to shape the book with minimal oversight.• Completed manuscript on a tight deadline while working remotely.• My subject’s legacy prompted me to reach out to several significant historical figures, including Dawn Staley and Tara VanDerveer, who provided testimonials included in the book.I have continued to work on additional book editing assignments.
