ABOUT VICKIE ALLEN-COLLIER

I am a bubbly energetic person who is very open minded and a keen learner, I will attempt anything put infront of me, and will never give up on a difficult task. I love problem-solving, and enjoy both, architecting and designing a system or solution, as well as trying to unravel a problematic bug and putting on my Sherlock Holmes hat and getting to the root cause of a problem. I enjoying working for companies that use #techforgood and have sustainable goals of helping their customers and/or provide an innovative solution to shake up old fashioned industries. I am the founder of SyncDevelopHER and the DevelopHER awards, helping raise the profile of women in tech and create role models for those thinking of a career in tech. I studied Spanish to A-Level and have spent time in Spain, staying with a Spanish family, learning about the culture and studying the language. I try to use my Spanish on a regular basis so I don\'t get too rusty but I would absolutely love a chance to use my Spanish skills alongside my technical skills. Outside of work, I am an animal lover, and a dancer. Dancing is definitely not one of my greatest talents, but it\'s a great chance for me to do something totally different to my day job, push myself out of my comfort zone and let go of any stress and have some fun every week. Lastly I\'m always smiling:)
