Hello, my name is Vic. I am a recent Computer Science graduate from Carleton University, passionate about software development, automation, and continuous learning. I thrive in environments that challenge me to grow, explore new technologies, and think creatively to solve real-world problems. Outside of work, I enjoy analyzing sports statistics and exploring hiking trails, where I find balance and inspiration.Currently, I work as an Onsite Technician at LOC Medical, where I’ve gained valuable hands-on hardware experience while directly troubleshooting and resolving software issues in person. My professional background includes three years in the software industry, primarily with IFS as a DevOps Engineer for their Maintenix software. In this role, I maintained and optimized build and testing pipelines, resolved Node.js and Gradle-related build errors, and streamlined artifact delivery pipelines for customer-specific software solutions.During my time at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), I gained a strong foundation in the software development life cycle (SDLC), contributing to quality assurance efforts and learning how client use cases evolve through planning, development, testing, and agile delivery. At Shared Services Canada (SSC), I supported storage and database operations, assisting clients through the SAN database and helping recover, restore, and back up critical data — strengthening my technical problem-solving and customer service skills.I’m now seeking a software or DevOps engineering role where I can continue to develop my technical expertise, contribute to impactful projects, and work within a team that values collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. My goal is to grow within an organization that encourages continuous learning and strives to make a meaningful difference through technology.
