ABOUT VIANNEY FOUCAULT

First and foremost, I love to empower teams I am working with! As a DevOps my job is to create tooling and define methodologies for teams to use, in order for them to be focused on putting features to production and with the goal of being able to be autonomous on operating their workloads.I began my career as a unix systems engineer, grown to be a passionate platform tech lead, always with the obsession of automation. With a strong attraction for data, I love to work in contexts of big data / fast data where scalability is a key factor and problem solving is a day to day thing. I can leverage my infrastructure background into solving today’s cloud architecture issues aiming for observability, availability, scalability, security and costs optimization. This background serves the team and makes us grow, all together. Within the R&D I am a facilitator, responsible for the platform. I challenge other teams\' choices around technologies and methodologies, making sure that we are taking smart decisions for our products and our customers. By participating in co-workers recruitment, I forge the next of our team. I aim for tech savvy, with a strong culture of innovation and knowledge sharing, but I can also see potential in candidates that are not yet fully professional.By maintaining a close relationship with our cloud vendors, I can be sure that my team is always up to date in terms of cloud architectures, features and managed services. Decisions are taken with the right information, multi cloud projects are done the right way for a seamless development and integration. I love to code also, rethinking pipeline components with a new approach. Sometimes, as a devops, coding is easier than configuring! I am efficient in GO and Python amongst others. I love to work with Apache Kafka for streams processing. I am a passionate person who loves to share knowledge with the people I am working with.
