Lead the direction and execution of the local, state, and federal public policy agenda of GPL.• Lead the planning, execution, and staff coordination of GPL’s monthly meetings and high-level signature events for GPL’s membership, comprised of 150 CEOs who lead Arizona’s largest and most influential business enterprises.• Counsel the Co-Chairs of the GPL Public Policy Committee in developing CEO-orientated advocacy and electoral engagement strategies.• Provide comprehensive staff support and oversight to the 45-member GPL Public Policy Committee and the 9-member GPL Local and County Task Force. • Source, prepare, and present on public policy developments to the 27-member GPL Board of Directors.• Analyze proposed legislative actions of interest to GPL, determine the potential impact on GPL, and develop appropriate responses, including the preparation of public testimony.• Serve as a registered lobbyist in Arizona on behalf of GPL and engage, coordinate, and maintain positive and strong relationships with appointed and elected officials, and their staff members.• Manage a team of contract consultants and attorneys in the areas relating to policy, electoral analysis, electoral engagement, and event logistics.• Oversee the electoral spending, compliance, and electoral engagement strategy of the GPL-affiliated political action committees at the local, county, and state levels.• Support the GPL President and CEO in coordinating efforts within the Arizona business advocacy ecosystem.• Lead the coordination of Trade Missions to various jurisdictions and other special projects as assigned.• Represent GPL in the community including the City of Phoenix GO Bond Leadership Committee and the Civics Matters Arizona initiative.
