I am responsible for Light Rail Operations, Special Transportation Services, Facilities, Operations Training and Bus Operations for Charlotte Area Transit System providing executive direction and management over those areas. I oversee senior management staff responsible for all rail operators, maintenance staff, maintenance and transportation training, facilities upkeep, special transportation and managing bus operations contract. I ensure that all assets are maintained in a reliable and safe condition, revenue vehicles are available to meet service demands and that the fleet replacement plans are kept up to date and implemented consistent with available funding. I ensure a commitment to continuous improvement of the transit service delivery by identifying and developing operational strategies to ensure quality and cost-effective performance focused on safety and a positive customer experience.As member of the Executive Management Team (EMT), I collaborate with other EMT members to ensure a commitment to continuous improvement of the transit service delivery ad strategic system development and I advise the CEO. I also coordinates with community partners and stakeholders over issues of service expansion, reduction and service quality.
