ABOUT VESNA PETRONIC-ROSIC
Dr. Petronic-Rosic works at the renowned Cook County Hospital in Chicago delivering care that enhances the health of the public and promotes the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people, while educating the next generation of dermatologists and dermatopathologists. She came from DC, where she was Professor and Founding Chair of the Georgetown University Department of Dermatology and Physician Executive Director for MedStar Health Dermatology. Before that, she was Professor and Chief of the University of Chicago Section of Dermatology. She is Deputy Editor of SKINmed: Dermatology for the Clinician, on the Editorial Board of Clinics in Dermatology, as well as Treasurer and Board Member of the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Petronic-Rosic is the recipient of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Leadership Forum Award, the AAD Diversity Mentorship Award, the Georgetown Women in Medicine Leadership Award, the 2020 Washingtonian Top Doctor Award, the TopDocChicago Award, the Top US Dermatologists Award, and the Outstanding Service Award of The University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences Division. She is also a National Inspector for the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program. She has published 134 articles, 44 book chapters, and edited 1 book.A graduate of the University of Belgrade School of Medicine in Belgrade, Serbia, she completed dermatovenereology training at the University Clinical Center of Serbia, as well as a master\'s degree in dermatovenereology at the University of Belgrade. Dr. Petronic-Rosic remained as faculty there before moving to the United States for a dermatopathology fellowship followed by a dermatology and cutaneous biology residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and a second dermatopathology fellowship at The University of Chicago. She received her MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and was elected to the 2018 Best EMBAs by Poets & Quants for Executives.
