Community Advocate | Equity-Driven Strategist •Passionate about saving lives and closing the health equity gap for patients living with sickle cell diseaseAs a Sickle Cell Account Manager at the American Red Cross, I serve on the front lines of a national initiative focused on addressing the urgent need for blood within the Black community and ensuring equitable access to lifesaving resources for individuals living with sickle cell disease.With a heart for advocacy and a results-driven mindset, I work daily to: •Build and sustain community partnerships rooted in trust and cultural relevance •Recruit blood donors from historically underserved populations •Educate the public on the realities of sickle cell disease, the need for consistent blood donations, and the importance of matching blood types •Support local and national outreach strategies to reduce disparities and elevate awarenessMy approach blends strategic relationship-building with grassroots impact. I collaborate with faith-based leaders, HBCUs, Divine Nine organizations, healthcare advocates, and everyday community members to create sustainable change—because for sickle cell warriors, this work is not optional, it’s essential.I believe in meeting people where they are, listening deeply, and mobilizing compassion into action. “They fight every day, and so should we.”
