About Mariaveronica Rivas
An East Coast transplant, a part-time southerner, and a native of Nicaragua, I moved to California with less than a dollar and more than a dream. The plan was simple: Shift the way people communicate and tell the untold stories. Dual degrees in Media and Ethnic Studies, from UC Berkeley, set me on the path to be able to accomplish that.Yet, it was organizing logistics for premiere events, as a Post Production Assistant, for the 13- part series \"Food Forward\", that introduced me to the platform where I could truly make my mark: Events and Marketing. I started from the bottom, as a Brand Ambassador and Field Marketing Manager for the Hispanic Group, executing local promotional initiatives and learning what it took to build a campaign at the grassroots level. I followed my passion for marketing and culture to the Latina owned and operated A2Z Media Group. Starting as a Project Coordinator and Jr Media Buyer. Over the course of four years, I worked my way up to become the Director of Events and Experiential Marketing and helped A2Z go from a \"Media company that has event capabilities,\" to a Full-Service Advertising and Brand Experience Agency. Now, as a trendy, freelancer, I bring a worldly and modern perspective to every initiative; emphasizing community relationships, grassroots collaboration, and the most cutting-edge technologies and platforms.Whether you\'re a top 500 brand or starting from the bottom, I am here to help you craft Event Marketing Campaigns that communicate with your consumers and make sure your story gets told.
