We are national leaders in protecting children from preventable harm in child custody cases involving domestic violence (DV) and child abuse. Specializing in expert witness testimony, we work primarily on behalf of protective mothers to create safer outcomes for children. Current Problem: Current custody practices are failing to protect children exposed to Adverse Childhood Experiences such as DV and child abuse. Most court professionals are unaware that current practices frequently harm children by shortening their lives and creating a lifetime of health risks. Our Solution: We use the research and data promoted by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges that are provided by the U.S. Department of Justice and CDC to advocate for the safe home every child deserves but may not experience. Our team has over 65 years of combined experience in expert witness testimony, authorship, advocacy, and national and international speaking engagements. Our work has influenced courts, legislatures, and organizations across the U.S. and Canada. We have provided expert services to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office on Violence Against Women, the Canadian Institute of Health, the American Psychological Association, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, the Oklahoma Attorney General\'s Office, the Battered Mothers Custody Conference, the Alliance for Hope, Center for Judicial Excellence, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and many other national and local entities.
