ABOUT VERONICA YEOH

My career in accounting started in 2009 with an entry level position in industry (working for one company vs a firm). I was enrolled in the CGA program and loved the opportunity to see how theory was applied in real life. I had two wonderful mentors who supported me in my shift into public accounting. I love public accounting and gained a great deal of knowledge through my 8 years at a large accounting firm. Throughout my career there I performed audits, reviews, & NTRs (which are various forms of financial statements reports with varying levels of assurance). I was part of the Privately Held Business group, which meant I got to experience tax planning, tax compliance, cash forecasting, and analysis, as well as the review of processes for improvements and efficiencies. It is these latter services where my passion was ignited.Then, in 2017 when I returned to my professional life after a maternity leave to take care of my wonderful, amazing daughter Violet, I was introduced to something completely new; QB Connect and cloud accounting. QB Connect is a once a year, three day conference in Toronto, that strives to educate, motivate and empower business owners and accounting professionals. It was so unlike anything i had ever experienced in my career, that I was hooked. I was blown away by how all the new tech, apps, and online software and support could alleviate so many of the issues my clients had. In 2019 I decided to start my own firm. This would allow me to focus on my passion for growth, education, and sharing of that knowledge to help my clients achieve their business goals. I strive for a better accounting/client relationship, where my clients understand the numbers, why they are important, how to use them for decisions, and how to use new tech and artificial intelligence to gain efficiencies allowing them time to focus on their business and what matters to them.I am passionate about what I do, and together we can find the Joy in accounting.
