ABOUT VERONICA TAIOCCHI
I’m a Chemical Engineer (MSc, cum laude) from Politecnico di Milano, with managerial experience in EPC, energy infrastructure and the development of assets supporting the energy transition. I have built an international, multicultural career, progressively taking on leadership roles in multidisciplinary engineering teams across both structured organizations and start-up environments. I manage portfolios of initiatives and work closely with complex stakeholders and corporate functions (Business, Procurement, Finance, Legal), as well as partners, investors and technology providers. I gained hands-on operational experience in Germany and Sweden and have worked within international clusters, developing a strong approach to cross-country collaboration and alignment on standards and best practices. Throughout my career I have led engineering organizations and complex technical structures: from heading a Technical Competence Center and a Design Center (up to 60 people) focused on engineering, project execution, construction and commissioning/start-up at customer sites, to building and structuring the Engineering function in a start-up phase. I focus on defining and driving the technological and engineering development of new plants and strategic initiatives, turning roadmaps and technical complexity into robust, deliverable projects that meet quality and performance requirements. Today, as Manager of Engineering at ZHERO, I set up the Engineering function with the goal of accelerating technical development and ensuring rigorous design standards to support the company’s growth.I am recognized for clear communication and pragmatic, results-driven leadership, as well as integrity, method and precision.
