ABOUT VERONICA SCHÖMER
As a pilot on Boeing 787 I take my passengers to their destination safely every day. I´m passionate about the successful implementation of safety concepts. Since I took a survey among airline pilots for my bachelor thesis on confidential safety reporting I´m convinced we have to look at the individual who actually produces safety. What does he or she need to work safely? What is his or her personal benefit from sticking to procedures or reporting incidents? I´m curious how the way we manage safety in commercial aviation is transferable to other industries.
