I specialize in solid waste and sustainability planning. My career has been centered on assisting state and local governments and other entities with solid waste management and recycling and overall resource recovery objectives. I’ve managed studies and developed reduction strategies on behalf of local, state agencies, federal military installations, and private institutions nationwide. A licensed attorney in the State of Georgia with financial training, professional highlights include:Procurement and Contract Negotiations: Authored best management practice guidebook. Managed procurements for collection, processing, and disposal services.Solid Waste and Sustainability Planning: Characterized waste streams, assessed opportunities, and developed implementation plans for short and long term management.Operations and Financial Reviews: Conducted operation reviews of solid waste and recycling programs to determine the full cost and evaluate alternative systems.Litter Assessments: Completed multiple litter surveys including national and statewide studies. Developed methodology, led field research, and identified strategies to decrease litter. Outside of work, I am an active member of the Environmental Law Section and Local Government Section of the State Bar of Georgia. I currently serve as a member of the Solid Waste Committee for the American Public Works Association. I served as the Director for the Solid Waste Association of North America Communication, Education & Marketing Technical Division and continue to serve as the co-chair for the Webinar and Blog Committee.
