ABOUT VERONICA FLORES

As Senior Project Director and ESG Lead for AECOM’s Global Program Management business line, I am passionate about turning ambitious sustainability commitments into measurable outcomes—both within our organization and for our clients around the world.I’m proud to play a key role in advancing AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies strategy, working to embed leading-edge sustainability and resilience practices across our global portfolio, including rolling out practical tools and processes that empower our teams to integrate ESG principles into every phase of program delivery, from risk management and supply chain engagement to decarbonization and social impact and beyond.Internally, I help drive the adoption of AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies embedding tools, ensuring that sustainability is woven into our culture, practice, training, and daily decision-making. These efforts have contributed to our achievement of operational net zero, the implementation of science-based targets, and the launch of innovative initiatives like ScopeX™—demonstrating our leadership in reducing embodied carbon and supporting clients’ net zero journeys.Externally, I collaborate closely with major clients—public and private—to shape and deliver ESG strategies that not only meet regulatory requirements but also unlock long-term value. Whether supporting cities in building climate resilience, guiding infrastructure owners on decarbonization pathways, or helping organizations navigate complex reporting, I am energized by the opportunity to help others realize their sustainability ambitions.My approach is rooted in collaboration, innovation, and measurable impact—whether it’s setting science-based targets, achieving net-zero or building cross-functional teams, I believe that sustainability is not just a responsibility, but a powerful driver of business value, resilience, and growth.
