About Veronica Barger

I am a climate change professional currently working as a Strategy Analyst in Mathematica, Inc.’s climate change practice. I work to evolve our climate and sustainability practice,(particularly as it pertains to climate resilience) through market research, client outreach, proposal development, and ESG efforts. My primary areas of interest are in environmental policy analysis, consulting, and advocacy. I am particularly passionate about circular economic systems, furthering zero waste initiatives, sustainable packaging and product development, the transition to renewable and clean energy, and environmental advocacy at the federal and state levels.A brief summary of my recent education and work history: from 2020 to 2022, I attended the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. I received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Management. Previously, I worked as a Business Management Associate at Mathematica, Inc. from 2017 to 2020. I received an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree in CLEG (Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government) from the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, DC. I also pursued a dual minor in history and economics and was an undergraduate student from 2013 to 2017.
