ABOUT VERONICA AUGUSTYN
The research mission of our group is to understand materials and their mechanisms at electrochemical interfaces relevant for energy and environmental technologies. The education mission of our group is to train materials scientists and engineers in experimental research methods, particularly materials synthesis, electrochemistry, and characterization, in preparation for future careers in industry, academia, and government. Our group primarily performs hypothesis-driven experimental research on materials in electrochemical environments. The successful outcome of our research mission is primarily via the publication of research findings in high quality journals and patent applications. The successful outcome of our education mission is primarily via the graduation and employment of undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral trainees. The two missions (research and education) are tightly intertwined and this is what makes academic research unique.Specialties: electrochemical energy storage, electrochemical analysis, material characterization, nanomaterial synthesisList of research publications: Google Scholar/Veronica AugustynResearch group website: http://research.mse.ncsu.edu/augustynSciBridge project:
