ABOUT VERNON GRANNEMAN

Vern Granneman is a retired partner in the firm\'s Litigation practice and is resident in the Silicon Valley/Palo Alto office. His practice emphasized the prosecution and trial of technology, intellectual property and commercial disputes, including trade secrets, copyrights, trademark/trade dress and patents. He also has substantial experience in litigation of claims involving business torts, unfair business practices and shareholder disputes.He tried five jury trials to verdict in state and federal court as first chair or co-first chair. He has tried more than fifteen bench trials to judgment.Vern\'s practice also emphasized alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation and early neutral evaluation. As an advocate, he conducted more than 15 arbitration trials in proceedings administered by the American Arbitration Association, the International Center for Dispute Resolution and JAMS. He regularly serves as a pro tem settlement judge and as an arbitrator in court-annexed arbitration proceedings for the Santa Clara County Superior Court.Vern\'s pro bono and community service activities included serving on the Board of Directors of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, the largest provider of legal services to the poor and underrepresented in Santa Clara County, from 2003 to 2015.Vern has lectured on a variety of trial practice subjects in forums sponsored by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel of America and Pillsbury.
