ABOUT VERITY OBERG
I am interested in collaborating with artists and individuals looking to develop public, community-oriented art pieces and events in Berlin and internationally. Verity Oberg grew up with the allied forces in occupied Berlin, shaping her interest in contemporary history and urban development. After dropping out of numerous university programs, Oberg has worked as a tour guide, journalist, translator, writer and consultant on various projects involving public spaces before concentrating on connecting local artists with large-scale art projects and events. She works in the arts as a freelance curator, co-founded The WYE in 2012 and has been running the project space Retramp since 2010. Recently, she has been producing comedy and cabaret shows in various locations across Berlin with the intent to combine performance, public and traditional art forms.
