Base 51 has been supporting the young people of Nottingham since 1993 initially in response to the lack of sexual health provision for young people, and in recognition that young peoples’ wellbeing is more than just addressing their physical health needs, but is about their whole person. Nottingham - Fundraising, Events, Social Media I am Head of Fundraising and Events at Base 51, a youth charity in Nottingham, who provides a safe space for people aged 11-25, with counselling, group support, a youth club, LGBTQIA support group, employability services, training, a kitchen providing vital meals (without our Summer programme many young people wouldn’t eat as they no longer have access to free school dinners), a laundry, a gym and more. In my role I manage events, community fundraising and corporate fundraising. If you are interested in supporting Base 51 please email me: f••••••••@base51.org.uk I have worked in Event Management and Fundraising for over 7 years, the highlights include- Organising a white-tie dinner for 700 people including a member of the Royal Family - Organising the \'most liked\' float at the Lord Mayors Show - Setting up a new fundraising platform at Living Without Abuse - Organising the Loughborough Half Marathon - Bringing in the highest amount of sponsorship for the Mayor\'s Charity Ball at Broxtowe Council - Increasing event attendance by 50% at the Loughborough Colour Run
