Key policy areas include: Energy Democracy, Good Government, Language Access, Economic Justice, and Internet Access.Highlights include- Growing AKPIRG from a staff of 1 to 25 in five years- Managing and fundraising for a budget with growth- Creating worker-centric time off, health care, and retirement policies- Spearheading 5+ legal complaints against corrupt actors in government & combating industry capture of Alaska\'s regulators- Chairing the public access committee of Alaska\'s first Electric Reliability Organization, drafting novel public-friendly confidentiality and access rules- Successfully preventing the elimination of a key phone bill subsidy which would have tripled phone bills in rural Alaska- Successfully advocating for Alaska\'s congressional delegation to oppose the Albertsons-Kroger merger- Starting new organizational programs, including internet access & language access programs- Project lead to translate the Census into eight Alaska Native languages, for the first time- Project lead to translate COVID-19 virus and vaccine information into Alaska Native languages- Appointed to various boards and commissions, including the Anchorage Complete Count Committee, Railbelt Reliability Council, and Consumer Federation of America
