About Ventura Torres

Originally from South Florida, I am a Burnett Honors student at the University of Central Florida, majoring in finance and aiming to graduate Spring 2024. I got involved on campus by joining ALPFA UCF, and quickly became the VP of events to develop personally and professionally by helping others in the community.As ALPFA\'s VP of Events, I was responsible for creating and coordinating opportunities to both raise funds and promote engagement. I have coordinated partnership events across other organizations, ranging from volunteer organizations like the Children\'s Safety Village of Orlando to student organizations like the American Marketing Association. Recently, I completed a summer internship with Synchrony Financial in which I honed my technical skills. I analyzed the user perspective and their most taken decisions utilizing applications like SAS Studio, Adobe Analytics, and Tableau, allowing me to draw insights and recommend possible next steps. My involvement within ALPFA and Synchrony have helped to hone skills like attention to detail and time management. In the future, I hope to continue these efforts in a vibrant, challenging, and impactful role within the banking industry.
