I am a Data Scientist from Scotia bank and graduate from Simon Fraser University completing the graduation degree on \'Professional Masters In BigData\'.As part of the job,I involve in automating review analysis from social media and NPS (net promotor survey) from bank\'s customers through deep learning (Natural language processing).I worked as a Data science intern at BCJobs and involved in text analytis involvingidentifying job trends,duplicate job postings,normalizing job titles,skills and setting up thethe infrastructure for the process.My machine learning academic project involved predicting number of shares an online news would get in a social platform and determine whether a real-time news would gain popularity in social media or not. The challenge of the project is to make predictions on real-time data as most of online news are short-living in nature. The project involved collecting the data set from ‘BBC news’ portal and applying regression and classification analysis over the data and make prediction over the online news trend.My big data academic project involved collecting huge volume of ‘Meta data’ on artists around the world, clean the data and make the data, Hadoop deployable. On the data, I analyzed the artist’s career trend, career duration, popularity distribution using Hadoop, map- reduce, pyspark and visualized using tools such as R, D3 and tableau. I also involved in setting up auto scalable ‘Hadoop’ cluster and optimize ‘Hadoop’ resource management and operation cost.As Database Administrator at Tata Consultancy Services I involved in developing project management platform.As part of my role I involved in activities such as setting up database clusters,query optimization,schema design and developing batch scripts for backups and data migration.With personal interest to solve the real world problem with skills learned,I co-founded online food coupon platform to collaborate the discounts available at various restaurants
