As a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) study, your role is vital in managing and coordinating clinical trials focused on this progressive neuromuscular disorder. Your responsibilities include:Study Coordination & ComplianceEnsuring adherence to study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory guidelines.Coordinating with investigators, sponsors, and regulatory agencies.Patient Recruitment & CareScreening, enrolling, and following up with participants.Educating patients and families about the study, potential benefitsand risks.Ensuring informed consent is obtained correctly.Data Collection & ManagementRecording clinical trial data accurately in case report forms (CRFs) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.Monitoring adverse events and reporting them per protocol.Clinical Procedures & Sample HandlingAssisting with assessments, such as muscle function tests, imaging, and biomarker collection.Coordinating lab sample processing and shipping as per study requirements.Regulatory & Ethical OversightSubmitting documentation to Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) or Ethics Committees.Maintaining study records and preparing for audits or monitoring visits.Collaboration & CommunicationWorking closely with principal investigators, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Liaising with pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and sponsors.
