I joined Oracle as a Member of Technical Staff in the core Database division. Persistent Memory Database – Designed and implemented the auto-tuned metadata to access persistent memory for persistency, performance, and lower storage costs. In-Memory Self Tuning – Designed and implemented dynamic growth and shrink & automatic sizing of the In-Memory column store based on the workload – a significant revenue booster for Oracle and highly demanded feature of In-memory cloud customers. Automatic Transaction Processing Cloud Service- Implemented enhancements and improvements for elastic memory growth & shrink for scalable next-gen cloud database service. Designed and implemented the Huge Buffer Cache feature to allow the database server to use persistent memory as an L3 cache for DRAM-like performance extensibility & enhanced memory capacity. Responsible for all designs, projects, developments, and enhancements of the Database Direct Loader feature for better asynchronous disk IO and database table scans. Implemented, tested, debugged to robust large-scale software systems & focus on performance enhancement for rapid customer deployment, guided support teams during escalations.Core contributor of the highly scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant, highly available, concurrent, multi-tenant distributed Database storage engine group, Buffer Cache, the heart of Oracle RDBMS. Owned & executed the Full Database Caching feature, which allows running the entire Database from in-memory for extreme performance by reducing disk IO by several orders of magnitude. Enhanced features of the Automatic Big Table Caching (an advanced Data warehousing project) & Smart Flash Cache for the RDBMS Server for greater customer adoption. Chief point of contact for all projects/problems related to shared DRAM memory of RDBMS server i.e. well known public Oracle memory parameters like sga_target, memory target etc.+ Some in-stealth-mode-till-2023 projects
