15 years building distributed systems and data platforms. Currently focused on Agentic AI at Microsoft — designing multi-agent systems, autonomous workflows, and the observability and governance layer that makes them safe to run in production.Before this, I spent 6 years at CARIAD (Volkswagen Group) architecting the cloud and data platform that powers connected experiences for 10M+ vehicles across VW, Audi, Porsche, Škoda, and SEAT. Real-time vehicle data pipelines, Data Lakehouse on Databricks and Delta Lake, 99.99% uptime across multi-cloud Kubernetes environments, and $5M+ in annual cloud savings from a platform-wide FinOps and observability overhaul. Also led the first GenAI initiatives at CARIAD — built the business case, delivered the first working systems, and grew the team around it — covering RAG pipelines, multilingual voice assistants, LLM infrastructure on vLLM and Azure AI Foundry, and multi-agent systems using LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI.I work across the full stack of platform engineering: Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Flink, Spark, Databricks, Azure, AWS, OpenTelemetry, GitOps, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code — and increasingly across the AI layer: RAG, AI Agents, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, LLMOps, private inference, evaluation pipelines, and Azure OpenAI.At CARIAD I led a team of 10 engineers, defined architectural standards across the org, and drove platform adoption across product teams — responsibilities that sit at the core of technical leadership and engineering management.
