ABOUT VENKAT DASTAMI
Most people don\'t expect a restaurant operator to talk about data pipelines. I\'m not most people. For 2 years, I ran operations at Isagani Farm to Table Cafe Lounge — managing inventory, tracking costs, analyzing purchasing patterns, and making real-time decisions that kept the business running. Every day was a data problem. I just didn\'t call it that yet.Now I\'m calling it that.I\'ve spent the last 12 months building my technical foundation in data analytics — studying SQL, Python, and data visualization tools — because I realized that what I was doing intuitively in operations, the best companies do systematically with data. I want to be part of that.Here\'s what I bring to IT & Data roles that most bootcamp graduates don\'t: Real operational context — I know what bad inventory data costs. I know what a 10% variance in procurement means. I\'ve lived the business problems that data is supposed to solve. Analytical thinking — Managing a cafe means constant optimization: staff scheduling, supplier lead times, menu performance, waste reduction. Every decision had data behind it.🤝 Stakeholder communication — I\'ve explained complex supply chain decisions to owners, regulators, and suppliers. Translating technical findings into plain language is something I already do. Tools I\'m building proficiency in:SQL | Python (Pandas, NumPy)| Excel & Google Sheets | Power BI / Tableau | AzureMy background isn\'t a liability — it\'s a differentiator. Not many data analysts have stood in the middle of a real operational crisis and had to make fast, data-informed decisions with imperfect information.I\'m actively seeking roles in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, IT Support, or Operations Analysis. If you\'re hiring for someone who brings both technical curiosity and real-world business sense — let\'s connect. Open to conversations, coffee chats, and informational interviews.
