Chateauguay HVDC Project - replacement of existing installation with 2 blocks “Back to Back” 2 x 765 MW using VSC technology for connection to NYPA (New York Power Authority) to export power to USA.The new converter units will be “Voltage Source Converter” or VSC type (converter technology based on IGBT transistors) and will be connected to the 735 kV (Quebec side) and 765 kV (New Your Side side) of 750 MW each (total 1,500 MW)
