ABOUT VELESTINE AMOAH

I am a confident, self-driven, result oriented and ambitious health safety and environmental professional with positive, professional, and approachable behavior, who can work independently. I can deliver under pressure, meeting deadlines even during challenging times within multi-site, high-hazard environments. I have experience in the oil and gas industry (operation and maintenance) and energy industry (power plant construction and commissioning). I am currently managing HSE requirements for a construction and commissioning of 299MW open-cycle gas turbine (OCGT) power plant and development of a two – Stream Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) plant at two different site locations. I have experience in consulting, developing, implementing, and managing policies & procedures under construction phase plans, environmental management plans, traffic management plans and emergency plans for multiple projects across the UK and Ghana, with singular projects value exceeding $600 million. I have extensive knowledge of the implementation of ISO management systems (ISO 45001:2018 and 14001:2015 standards), Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations and OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926) and standards (29 CFR 1910). I have experience working closely with tier 1 clients at all levels, working with organizations such as Drax Group and Endeavor Energy with strong communication and interpersonal skills. I am proficient in Microsoft office applications.
