About Velen Wu
I am a 1L JD student at Columbia Law School. I graduated from Georgetown University\'s Walsh School of Foreign Service in 2023 with a degree in Science, Technology, International Affairs (STIA), concentrating in biotechnology and global health, with minors in Environmental Studies. My undergraduate research was focused on synthesizing data to understand the climate drivers of infectious disease dynamics, particularly in regard to emerging infectious diseases and hotspots, and applying scientific understanding to inform policy. I am proficient in Westlaw, Lexis, R, Stata, ArcGIS, Tableau, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). In my spare time, your best bet of finding me is either on a new hiking trail or watching tennis.
