About Veer Metri

I am a Computer Science and Engineering student specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a strong focus on building practical, well-structured software systems. I enjoy working close to fundamentals and understanding how things work under the hood rather than treating tools as black boxes.I was selected as a Google Summer of Code contributor for Synfig Studio, where I worked primarily with C++ and GTKmm to design and implement a plugin manager interface and an online plugin repository. This experience strengthened my skills in large codebases, open-source collaboration, and writing maintainable systems-level code.My interests span software engineering, graphics and animation, low-level systems, and emerging technologies like Web3 and decentralization. I am particularly motivated by work that creates real impact, improves everyday tools, and is built in thoughtful, collaborative environments.I am continuously sharpening my skills in C++, problem-solving, and full-stack fundamentals, while exploring deeper areas such as video encoding, system design, and performance-oriented programming. I value clarity, curiosity, and consistency in both learning and work.
