ABOUT VEEREN NAIDOO
I am a chemical engineer who transitioned from corporate into consulting and entrepreneurship helping to build and successfully exit companies in Payments, Machine Learning and Plant-Based foods. My expertise includes general management skills in the areas of programme management, business transformation, business strategy, sales and marketing. My core strength lies in validating business ideas (technically and commercially) and thereafter working with competent teams to execute the business strategy to support successful launch and growth phases. My board roles included the Johannesburg Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization and Eastern Gauteng Squash (2019). My volunteering included a directorship on the Elizabeth Road Closure Board (2019) to support residential safety and security in Oriel, Bedfordview in Gauteng, South Africa. In early 2021 I relocated to Toronto, Canada from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am now working with startups and established companies in Board level advisory roles in Canada at Haltech Regional Innovation Centre within the Acceleration+ program. I also provide advisory support to two businesses, one located in India and the other in South Africa I am also an active member of AngelOne an angel investment network located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
