About Veera Mahidhara
Veera is a senior materials, corrosion and welding engineer supporting deepwater developments in Gulf of Mexico, T&T and Brazil. Until recently, he was the asset integrity focal point for the Mars corridor in the Gulf of Mexico and asset integrity focal point for the Vito and Whale developments across the Gulf of Mexico. He led asset integrity management programs pertaining to third party equipment and injection/mix points. Veera also managed discipline scope on many turnarounds and pitstops Veera has also spent a few years in charge of corrosion management and pressure equipment integrity of several production units within the refinery and chemical plant at Shell Deerpark Complex (Phenol, Olefins, Heavy Olefins, Hydrosulfur, Utilities, and Effluent Treatment ). In an earlier role, he supported Deepwater Projects and Technology organization at Shell providing corrosion and erosion management, for traditional and enhanced oil recovery developments, materials selection, chemical-materials compatibility, cathodic protection design, life extension and pipeline integrity management for many upstream and deep water development projects.
