Looking after DFCCIL projects being executed by Tata Projects Limited. These are EPC contracts and offer a lot of challenges in terms of site conditions, technical challenges and contract conditions. The dedicated freight Railway corridors are designed for axle load of 32.5 MT and 100 Kmph speed. Loop lines are designed for 50 Kmph speed. Bridges and turnouts have been designed for continuous welded track passing through them and CWR of more than 40 Kmph were designed and laid. We have successfully delivered all projects in Eastern corridor namely, Khurja- Bhaupur, Khurja-Dadri and Pilkhani- Sahnewal. Khurja- Bhaupur was the first dedicated freight corridor inaugurated by PM. In Western corridor, only Vaitarna- JNPT is left while Vadodara- Surat has been completed and commissioned. The Defect Notification Period of Khurja- Bhaupur has also been successfully completed. Lot of innovations were done like mechanized laying of track, mechanized destressing by Superpullers, mechanization in Earthworks and bridgework etc. The use of NTC for mechanized laying was first introduced in India by Tata Projects in Khurja- Bhaupur section. The first time design and prototype testing of 6500 MT friction Buffer stops at 10 kmph speed was successfully done which is first in world.The contract conditions were based on FIDIC ( yellow book) and we successfully handled these conditions and were able to protect the interest by raising variations and claims justified to us.
