As a Girls’ Education Champion and visionary digital creator, Dr Vee uses her platform of over global followers to amplify issues around educational access, equity, and opportunity for underrepresented youth. She is the Founder of Empowered by Vee, a charity expanding access to higher education, and the creator of the Empowerment Workshop Model, which delivers practical, skills-based workshops to students from marginalised communities. An alumna of both Oxford and Harvard, Dr Vee is celebrated for her contributions to inclusion, leadership, and female empowerment. In 2023, she was named one of BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women, alongside Michelle Obama. Her accolades include the Diana Legacy Award presented by Prince William and Prince Harry, the Rare Rising Star Award from UK Parliament members, and the Diversity Champion Award from the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford. Dr Vee has worked with organisations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, the Global Partnership for Education, Education for All Foundation, and World’s Largest Lesson. She has spoken on global stages in New York, India, Singapore, Zimbabwe, Doha, Italy, and London. She is also a Penguin Random House published author of EMPOWERED: Live Your Life With Passion and Purpose, and co-founder of The Empowerment Brunch, a global mentorship and networking platform for women. In 2023, Dr Vee was appointed a United Nations Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals, a GPE Youth Leader, and a Youth Advisory Board Member for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation (2022–2024). Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership at Claremont Graduate University in California, with the goal of transforming access to education for girls and young people globally.
